The Columbia School of Climate Postdoctoral Research Program is now accepting applications for 2023

The Columbia School of Climate Postdoctoral Research Program is now seeking applications from innovative PhD candidates or recent Ph.D., MD, JD, or Sc.D. Recipients (within five years of receiving the degree) who are interested in a wide range of issues in sustainable development are invited to join its Fall 2023 cohort. Applications are due until October 31, 2022.

this Columbia School of Climate Postdoctoral Research Program The world’s premier program is for those dedicated to better understanding important scientific and societal issues in climate science and global sustainable development. The program provides an opportunity for scholars to develop the interdisciplinary expertise needed to address critical issues of sustainable development, such as artificial intelligence and climate, carbon management, climate finance and risk, coastal livability, resilience in Against disasters, energy storage and food transportation

The program offers a unique intellectual environment that fosters interdisciplinary interaction, research and teaching. Postdoctoral researchers join the school of climate Multidisciplinary teams from leading and committed scientists throughout the Earth Institute and Columbia University. Candidates who have developed interdisciplinary approaches during their graduate studies or are interested in developing interdisciplinary approaches during their graduate studies will find numerous opportunities to participate in leading programs in sustainable development research.

Program requirements

Candidates must complete Online application and make a proposal for research that contributes to global and sustainable development. Candidates may propose to contribute to existing Climate School programs, expand Climate School programs, or develop new projects that integrate the School’s breadth of expertise.

In addition to submitting an application and proposal, candidates are strongly encouraged to identify and contact their desired multidisciplinary coaching team. that’s mean Two or more senior faculty members or research scientists/investigators at Columbia University with whom they wish to work during their appointment. The application deadline is October 31, 2022. The program starts in the fall of 2023 and the appointments are for 24 months.

This program is open to US and non-US citizens. All doctoral requirements must be met and the degree awarded within five years prior to commencement of appointment.
