Development Internship with the Columbia School of Climate

Columbia’s School of Climate is seeking three interns to support its professional development program and assist with the 2023 Virtual All Ivy Environmental and Sustainable Development Professional Fair. This exhibition will be held on February 10, 2023. Each year, it brings together approximately 75 recruiters who hire up to 1,000 Ivy League students for full-time/part-time jobs and internships. We are looking for motivated and professional interns to help in communication and follow up of organizations. Post jobs to Weather School jobs list; and update employer-student communications. Ideal interns bring creativity, energy and enthusiasm to the job of attracting incredible organizations to participate in the 2023 Career Fair. Interns must be available for face-to-face community work at Columbia University.

responsibilities:
Responsibilities include: Contacting organizations to invite them to job fairs. Managing the follow-up of communications to organizations; maintaining an up-to-date spreadsheet of contacts, notification and follow-up actions; Assist in preparation of materials and setup for virtual networking sessions for career fairs; and search/post climate and sustainability related jobs online. Other related duties.

Required skills:
Applicants must be highly motivated, detail oriented and have strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will be personable, proactive and able to work in a fast-paced environment while being organized and precise. Experience in marketing, sales or advertising is preferred, but not required. Advanced Excel skills are desirable.

Type of student:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.

Compensation:
$21.50/hour, 10-15 hours per week. The position will start in early October and run until February 2023.
